Background:  The Productivity Board operates under the Office of the Secretary of State to administer the state employee suggestion program. This program encourages and rewards meritorious suggestions by state employees.  Each year, the board is required to prepare a topical list of all productivity awards granted and distribute it to all state government agencies that may be able to adapt them to their procedures.

 

Summary of Bill:  The requirement that the Productivity Board prepare a reward list annually is repealed.  The list is required to be published on an ad hoc basis.

 

Appropriation:  None.

 

Fiscal Note:  Available.

 

Effective Date:  Ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
