Title:  An act relating to hunters.

 

Brief Description:  Delineating the authority of the department of fish and wildlife to regulate hunters' clothing.

Background:  Some states require hunters to wear orange clothing to allow greater visibility to other hunters.

 

Summary of Bill:  The Department of Fish and Wildlife may not adopt rules requiring hunters to wear hunter orange.  The department may, however, adopt rules prohibiting modern firearms hunters from wearing camouflage.

Effective Date:  Ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
