Title:  An act relating to community public health and safety networks.

 

Brief Description:  Including a representative of public schools on each community public health and safety network.

Background:  Community public health and safety networks are currently comprised of 23 members: 13 citizens, and ten representatives from various governmental and community entities.  None of the ten representative positions includes a member representing the public schools.

 

Groups interested in becoming a community network were to apply by December 1, 1994.

 

Summary of Bill:  An additional member is added to the composition of the community network.  The new member represents the public schools within the network boundary.

 

The deadline to apply to the Family Policy Council to become a community network is eliminated.

 

Appropriation:  None.

 

Fiscal Note:  Requested January 20, 1995.

 

Effective Date:  Ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
