Background:  The Department of Natural Resources has authority to sell or lease state tidelands and shorelands.  It is unclear whether it has the authority to sell or lease state uplands which were formerly tidelands and shorelands.

Summary of Bill:  The Department of Natural Resources has authority to sell Lake Washington uplands which were formerly shorelands.

Appropriation:  None.

Effective Date:  Ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
