Background:  The current language regarding the transfer of sick leave for exempt employees has lead to sick leave transfers between colleges and agencies being permitted on some occasions and questioned on others.  

 

Summary of Bill:  Accrued sick leave must be transferrable between a college district and the college board, an educational service district, any school district, or any other higher education institution.

 

Appropriation:  None.

 

Fiscal Note:  Requested January 30, 1995.

 

Effective Date:  Ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
