Background:  Currently, only four of the nine fish and wildlife commissioners are required for adoption of rules.

 

Most commissions approve rules with a majority vote.

 

Summary of Bill:  A majority of the fish and wildlife commissions must approve rules.

Fiscal Note:  Not requested.

 

Effective Date:  Ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.

 

Testimony For:  Most commissions adopt rules on a majority vote basis.

 

Testimony Against:  Some issues should require a supermajority vote by the commission.
