Background: One of the statutory duties of the county auditor is to serve as clerk of the board of county commissioners, unless the board of county commissioners designates one of its employees to serve as clerk.
Summary of Bill: The county auditor no longer serves as the clerk of the board of county commissioners. The county legislative authority must designate a person to be clerk.
Miscellaneous duties of the county auditor are transferred to the designated clerk.
Appropriation: None.
Fiscal Note: Not requested.
Effective Date: Ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
