Background:  Senator James T. Matson (R) served the people of the 14th District and the state of Washington as a member of the Washington State Senate from 1969 to 1981 and 1989 to 1993.  From 1977 to 1979, Senator Matson served as Republican Minority Leader and more recently Chair of the Labor and Commerce Committee in 1991 and 1992.

 

Summary: The state Department of Transportation is requested to name the overpass at Selah, Washington after Senator James T. Matson.
