Restricting the use of driving records for insurance purposes.

    AN ACT Relating to the use of driving records by insurers; and adding a new section to chapter 48.30 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 48.30 RCW to read as follows:

    Unless the policyholder is determined to be at fault, a policy of insurance may not be canceled, nonrenewed, denied, or have the rate increased on the basis of information obtained from a certified abstract of a driving record under RCW 46.52.130.
