Clarifying penalties for failure to obey an officer.

    AN ACT Relating to the penalty for failing to obey an officer; amending RCW 46.61.022; and prescribing penalties.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

    Sec. 1.  RCW 46.61.022 and 1979 ex.s. c 136 s 5 are each amended to read as follows:

    Any person who wilfully fails to stop when requested or signaled to do so by a person reasonably identifiable as a law enforcement officer or to comply with RCW 46.61.015, 46.61.020, or 46.61.021(3), is guilty of a misdemeanor.
