Revising calculation of statutory time periods.

    AN ACT Relating to calculation of statutory time periods; and amending RCW 1.12.040.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

    Sec. 1.  RCW 1.12.040 and 1887 c 20 s 1 are each amended to read as follows:

    The time within which an act is to be done, as herein provided, shall be computed by excluding the first day, and including the last, unless the last day is a ((holiday or Sunday, and then it is also excluded)) Saturday, a Sunday, or a legal holiday, in which event the period runs until the end of the next day that is neither a Saturday, a Sunday, nor a legal holiday.
