Concerning the Rainier School residential habilitation school.

    AN ACT Relating to residential habilitation centers; and adding a new section to chapter 71A.20 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 71A.20 RCW to read as follows:

    No state agency shall change the operational status, or alter the current mission of the Rainier School, in Buckley, from its proper role as a residential habilitation center.

    During any period when the legislature is not in session, the legislative authority of the city of Buckley is authorized to make final determinations on issues that pertain to the operation of the Rainier School.
