Limiting financial assistance provided to public facilities districts.

     AN ACT Relating to public facilities districts; and adding new sections to chapter 36.100 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 36.100 RCW to read as follows:

     Except to the extent authorized under chapter . . .,(Engrossed Substitute House Bill No. 2115), Laws of 1995 3rd sp. sess., the state may not provide any moneys, subsidies, or other financial assistance to a public facilities district or to assist in financing any portion of the costs of facilities owned by a public facilities district.

NEW SECTION. Sec. 2.  A new section is added to chapter 36.100 RCW to read as follows:

     A public facilities district, and the employees and officials of a public facilities district, may not expend district moneys, directly or indirectly, to request financial assistance of any sort from the state for the public facilities district or to assist the financing of any portion of the costs of facilities owned by the public facilities district.
