AN ACT Relating to issuing citations to public fire departments by the department of labor and industries; and adding a new section to chapter 43.22 RCW.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:
NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. A new section is added to chapter 43.22 RCW to read as follows:
The director may only issue citations to a public fire department for violations of formally adopted standards that are based on Washington state statutes or rules. The practice of issuing citations to public fire departments based on nonadopted standards is prohibited.
