Restricting the activities of the department of corrections on the grounds of state mental hospitals.

     AN ACT Relating to activities of the department of corrections on the grounds of a state mental hospital; and adding a new section to chapter 72.09 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 72.09 RCW to read as follows:

     The department shall not construct any new buildings, nor acquire or renovate any existing buildings used for prerelease or work release programs, on the grounds of a mental hospital operated by the department of social and health services.
