Giving the department of transportation discretion in setting capital facility rental rates.



     AN ACT Relating to the transportation capital facilities account; and amending RCW 47.13.020.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

     Sec. 1.  RCW 47.13.020 and 1989 c 397 s 2 are each amended to read as follows:

     ((By July 1, 1991, the department shall set and charge reasonable rental rates for the use of its real property, buildings, or structures.  The department shall deposit receipts from the charges in the transportation capital facilities account.))

     The department may transfer to the transportation capital facilities account all federal moneys made available for the purpose of purchase, acquisition, exchange, sale, construction, repair, replacement, maintenance, or operation of real property, buildings, or structures necessary or convenient for the planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance, or administration of the state transportation system under the jurisdiction of the department.
