Providing for setting salaries of municipal court judges in cities over four hundred thousand.

    AN ACT Relating to municipal court judges' salaries in cities over four hundred thousand; and amending 35.20.160.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

    Sec. 1.  RCW 35.20.160 and 1965 c 147 s 3 are each amended to read as follows:

    The total of the salaries of each municipal judge under this chapter shall be fixed by the legislative body of the city ((at not less than nine thousand dollars per annum)) in the amount set by the state salary commission for district court judges, to be paid in monthly or semimonthly installments as for other officials of the city, and such total salaries shall not be more than the salaries paid the superior court judges in the county in which the court is located.
