Limiting the valuation of property.

    AN ACT Relating to limiting the valuation of property for property taxation; and adding a new section to chapter 84.40 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 84.40 RCW to read as follows:

    The valuation of property under this chapter shall not exceed one hundred twenty percent of the previous valuation of the property, as determined every year, beginning with taxes due and payable in 1996 and thereafter.
