Authorizing fund-raising on state property to benefit public fish and wildlife programs.

    AN ACT Relating to fund-raising on state property to benefit public fish and wildlife programs; and adding a new section to chapter 75.08 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 75.08 RCW to read as follows:

    The director may enter into agreements with nonprofit volunteer groups, including regional fish enhancement groups authorized by RCW 75.50.070 and volunteer cooperative fish and wildlife enhancement groups authorized by RCW 75.52.030.  The agreements shall allow the groups to undertake projects to raise donations, gifts, grants, and support to be used to carry out the purposes of Titles 75 and 77 RCW and to benefit fish and wildlife programs authorized by the legislature.  The department may provide necessary agency personnel and services, if available, to assist in the projects.  Such projects may be conducted on state property.
