Requiring that applicants in order to be eligible for aid to families with dependent children provide the name of both parents of children.

    AN ACT Relating to applicants for aid to families with dependent children; add adding a new section to chapter 74.12 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 74.12 RCW to read as follows:

    Applicants in order to be eligible for aid to families with dependent children must provide the name of both parents of the child or children, whether born or unborn, at the time of application unless the applicant has good cause meeting federal criteria for refusing.
