Limiting purchase of land by state agencies in counties where more than sixty-five percent of the county is owned publicly.

    AN ACT Relating to purchase of land by state agencies; and adding a new section to chapter 79.01 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 79.01 RCW to read as follows:

    No state agency may purchase land in any county in which public land and federal land together constitute more than sixty-five percent of the total area of the county, without the approval of the county legislative authority and the legislature.
