AN ACT Relating to health care coverage for elected officials; adding a new section to Title 2 RCW; adding a new section to Title 3 RCW; adding a new section to Title 35 RCW; adding a new section to Title 35A RCW; adding a new section to Title 36 RCW; adding a new section to chapter 41.05 RCW; adding a new section to Title 43 RCW; and adding a new section to Title 44 RCW.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:
NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. A new section is added to Title 2 RCW to read as follows:
Health care benefits of persons holding elected office under this title shall be equivalent to that provided by the basic health plan on January 1, 1996, and may not be supplemented in any manner.
NEW SECTION. Sec. 2. A new section is added to Title 3 RCW to read as follows:
Health care benefits of persons holding elected office under this title shall be equivalent to that provided by the basic health plan on January 1, 1996, and may not be supplemented in any manner.
NEW SECTION. Sec. 3. A new section is added to Title 35 RCW to read as follows:
Health care benefits of persons holding elected office in a city or town shall be equivalent to that provided by the basic health plan on January 1, 1996, and may not be supplemented in any manner.
NEW SECTION. Sec. 4. A new section is added to Title 35A RCW to read as follows:
Health care benefits of persons holding elected office in a city shall be equivalent to that provided by the basic health plan on January 1, 1996, and may not be supplemented in any manner.
NEW SECTION. Sec. 5. A new section is added to Title 36 RCW to read as follows:
Health care benefits of persons holding elected office under this title, including elected officials of counties, special districts, special purpose districts, and other municipal or quasi-municipal corporations, shall be equivalent to that provided by the basic health plan on January 1, 1996, and may not be supplemented in any manner.
NEW SECTION. Sec. 6. A new section is added to chapter 41.05 RCW to read as follows:
Health care benefits of persons holding elected office and receiving health care coverage through the health care authority shall be equivalent to that provided by the basic health plan on January 1, 1996, and may not be supplemented in any manner.
NEW SECTION. Sec. 7. A new section is added to Title 43 RCW to read as follows:
Health care benefits of persons holding elected office under this title shall be equivalent to that provided by the basic health plan on January 1, 1996, and may not be supplemented in any manner.
NEW SECTION. Sec. 8. A new section is added to Title 44 RCW to read as follows:
Health care benefits of persons holding elected office under this title shall be equivalent to that provided by the basic health plan on January 1, 1996, and may not be supplemented in any manner.
