Making an additional appropriation to television coverage of government deliberations.

    AN ACT Relating to making an additional appropriation to television coverage of government deliberations; making an appropriation; and declaring an emergency.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  The sum of four million dollars is appropriated from the general fund to the state treasurer for the biennium ending June 30, 1995, for deposit to the escrow account created under section 116(2), chapter 6, Laws of 1994 sp. sess. for the purposes of funding a nonprofit organization to produce gavel-to-gavel television coverage of state government deliberations and other events of state-wide significance.

NEW SECTION. Sec. 2.  This act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, or safety, or support of the state government and its existing public institutions, and shall take effect immediately.
