Directing a study of recreational vehicle driver licensing.

    AN ACT Relating to a study of licenses for recreational vehicle drivers; and creating a new section.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  The department of licensing shall undertake a study of the possible need for special licensing of recreational vehicle drivers.  The department shall seek comment from and participation by all interested groups and persons, including, but not limited to, recreational vehicle owners organizations, law enforcement agencies, highway safety agencies and organizations, motorists organizations, and highway users organizations.  The department shall present the results of the study, along with its recommendations, to the legislative transportation committee by December 1, 1996.

    This section expires on December 31, 1996.
