                      (DIGEST AS ENACTED)

 

     Requires determination of the amount of restitution due at the sentencing hearing or within one hundred eighty days.

     Directs the court to identify in the judgment and sentence the victim or victims entitled to restitution and what amount is due each victim.

     Authorizes the enforcement of the court-ordered restitution in the same manner as a judgment in a civil action.

     Provides that restitution collected through civil enforcement must be paid through the registry of the court.

     Declares that the court may not reduce the restitution because the offender might not have the ability to pay the full amount.

     Revises the statute of limitations concerning enforcement of judgments.

     Allows retroactive application in limited circumstances.
