     Encourages a coordinated forest fire protection and suppression program for the state.

     Declares a primary mission of rural fire districts and municipal fire departments is to protect improved property so as to not inhibit the protection of lives and forest resources by the state.

     Acknowledges the natural role of fire in forest ecosystems to maintain healthy forests and to eliminate sources of fuel.
