HB 1523-S.E - DIGEST

(AS OF HOUSE 2ND READING 3/15/95)

     Provides that no person shall perform an abortion upon an unemancipated minor or upon an incompetent unless that person has given at least forty-eight hours actual notice to a parent or guardian.

     Requires notice to the father if he is an unemancipated minor or incompetent.

     Requires the minor to sign a form indicating that she has been informed of the alternatives available under the act.

     Prohibits coercion on a minor to have an abortion.

     Establishes civil penalties for violations of the act.
