HB 1690-S - DIGEST

(DIGEST OF PROPOSED 1ST SUBSTITUTE)

     Deletes the authority of the state board of education to ensure compliance with the basic education act.

     Requires SPI to report on specific actions it has taken to reduce paperwork requirements by December 1, 1995.

     Requires audits of school districts every three years.

     Provides that the superintendent of public instruction shall not request that school districts annually report information on the sources of revenue for specific school district programs.

     Deletes the requirement that school employees receive training in AIDS.

     Repeals RCW 28A.335.210 and 28A.225.320.
