(DIGEST AS ENACTED)

     Revises current use taxation provisions for forest lands.

     Allows government agencies or other entities to stop a removal of designation as forest land by declaring its intention in writing to acquire an interest in such land by means of a qualifying transaction.

     Exempts a transfer of forest land to the parks and recreation commission for parks and recreation purposes from payment of back taxes.
