     Revises the status of a privileged communication between a minor child and the child's attorney.

     Provides for required attendance at juvenile court hearings by parents or guardians.

     Implements a pilot project to ascertain whether allowing courts of limited jurisdiction to have concurrent jurisdiction with juvenile courts will improve the system's effectiveness in curbing delinquency.

     Revises the membership and duties of the juvenile disposition standards commission.

     Requires a report on security at juvenile facilities.

     Revises juvenile sentencing standards.

     Revises recommended prosecuting standards for charging of offenses and plea disposition.

     Authorizes schools to contract with public or private entities to provide educational services for students with juvenile offenses.

     Makes an appropriation of four million two hundred forty-eight thousand dollars to carry out the purposes of the act.
