     Directs the secretary of corrections to arrange for the necessary training of the community corrections officers who choose to be armed.

     Requires the officers to pay the costs of training and equipment.

     Does not make the community corrections officers eligible for membership in LEOFF.

     Directs the criminal justice training commission to determine the types of firearms and ammunition and to set the standards for training.

     Creates an advisory board for the commission.
