HB 2178 - DIGEST

(SUBSTITUTED FOR - SEE 1ST SUB)

     Provides that disarming a law enforcement officer is a class C felony unless the firearm is discharged when the person removes the firearm, in which case the offense is a class B felony.

     Declares that a person who commits another crime while disarming a law enforcement officer may be punished separately for each crime.
