HB 2265 - DIGEST

     Requires actual notice forty-eight hours prior to any abortion procedure.

     Requires the minor to have signed a form which designates the options available to the minor.

     Requires monthly reports of the number of notifications provided to parents and guardians.

     Establishes judicial procedures whereby unemancipated minors or incompetents may petition for a waiver of the notification requirement.

     Provides that the intentional performance of an abortion without the required notification is a gross misdemeanor offence.

     Provides that a person who coerces a minor to have an abortion is guilty of a misdemeanor.
