HB 2267-S - DIGEST

(DIGEST OF PROPOSED 1ST SUBSTITUTE)

     Prohibits the display of matter that is harmful to minors.

     Prescribes affirmative defenses to a prosecution for violations of the act.

     Provides that a violation of the act is a gross misdemeanor offense.

     Declares that the state fully occupies and preempts the field of regulation of material harmful to a minor.

     Provides exemption from the act.

     Repeals provisions of chapters 9.68 and 9.68A RCW.
