HB 2389 - DIGEST

(DIGEST AS ENACTED)

     Establishes the following classes of felonies defined by a statute not in Title 9A RCW:  (1) For a maximum sentence of imprisonment of twenty years or more, a class A felony;

     (2) for a maximum sentence of eight to twenty years, a class B felony; and

     (3) for a maximum sentence of less than eight years, a class C felony.

     Provides that felonies that do not specify a maximum punishment are to be assigned as class B felonies.
