HB 2642 - DIGEST

     Establishes the parking and business improvement areas task force.

     Directs the task force to:  (a) Review and inventory the existing programs and services available at the federal, state, and local government level that can be used in inner city business revitalization efforts;

     (b) examine inner city business revitalization efforts in other states and countries;

     (c) identify public and private incentives that would assist inner city business revitalization efforts; and

     (d) provide a written report on its findings and recommendations to the legislature no later than December 15, 1996, including any legislation the task force finds necessary for the implementation of its findings and recommendations.
