SB 5028 - DIGEST

     Prohibits possession of a firearm unless three years have elapsed since the date of conviction for a misdemeanor or gross misdemeanor offense, five years have elapsed since the date of conviction for a class C felony, or ten years have elapsed since the date of conviction for a class B felony.

     Provides that a failure to notify a person that he or she is ineligible to possess a firearm is not a defense to prosecution under RCW 9.41.040.
