                      (DIGEST AS ENACTED)

 

     Revises the procedures for formation of the districts and for the make-up of the board of directors.

     Revises the permitted levels of excise taxes which may be imposed.

     Declares that the treasurer of the county in which a public facilities district is located shall be the ex officio treasurer of the district.

     Designates the powers and duties of the board of directors of the public facilities district with regard to payment of compensation and expenses of officers and employees.

     Authorizes payment of compensation to members of the board of fifty dollars per day, not to exceed three thousand dollars per year for attendance at meetings and conferences on behalf of the district.

     Authorizes the board to purchase liability insurance and approve the use of the district's attorney in defending actions against officers or employees.

     Authorizes the districts to issue revenue bonds to fund revenue generating facilities.
