SB 5195 - DIGEST

     Declares that the goals of the tax incentive program are to give employers incentives to hire and train public assistance recipients and to increase the employability of public assistance recipients.

     Provides tax incentives in the form of tax credits for persons who agree, in writing, to hire and train recipients of aid to families with dependent children.

     Directs the department of revenue and the department of social and health services to perform an assessment of the results of the tax incentive program by December 1, 1999.
