SB 5547 - DIGEST

     Authorizes the person to retain the animal if it has no brand or tatoo, if the person submits a written request to retain the animal, if he or she agrees to return the animal to the rightful owner without compensation, and if he or she has made serious, good faith efforts to find the owner.

     Requires the brand inspector to publish a notice in the newspaper that the animal has been retained by the person in possession.
