(DIGEST AS ENACTED)

     Declares an intent that department rules and policies relating to the licensing and operation of adult family homes recognize and accommodate the different needs and capacities of the developmentally disabled and the aged populations.

     Designates minimum standards for adult family home providers that are companies or corporations.

     Limits individuals to operation of two adult homes, and companies to a maximum of eight adult homes.

     Provides that licensees may not have a prior history of significant noncompliance with federal, state, or local regulations.
