SB 5832 - DIGEST

     Authorizes the establishment of a salmon protection district to include areas in which nonpoint pollution or loss of habitat threatens the water quality upon which the continuation or restoration of the salmon fishery is dependent.

     Authorizes the appointment of a local advisory council.

     Provides for the creation of a district by a county legislative authority or by submitting the question to the voters.

     Designates the source of funds to implement the protection program.
