SB 5943 - DIGEST

(SUBSTITUTED FOR - SEE 1ST SUB)

     Authorizes the governing body of a city to impose a tax of two percent of the charge for rooms to be used for lodging by transients, to be collected after January 1, 2000.

     Requires the taxes collected to be credited to the state convention and trade center account for the purposes of the act.
