     Makes technical revisions to provisions regulating forensic investigations.

     Renames the state death investigations council as the state forensic investigation council.

     Revises the membership of the forensic investigations council.

     Authorizes the council to appoint the state toxicologist, instead of the president of the University of Washington.

     Revises the funding mechanism for the council and the distribution of funds formula.

     Repeals section 44, chapter 275, Laws of 1994.
