SB 6126 - DIGEST

(SUBSTITUTED FOR - SEE 1ST SUB)

     Authorizes county treasurers to accept credit cards, debit cards, federal wire, automatic clearing house system transactions, or other electronic communications for a payment of any kind.

     Requires a payer to bear the cost of processing the transaction.

     Becomes effective for taxes levied for collection in 1997.
