     Revises RCW 41.40.270 to provide payment options to a beneficiary of a member who dies prior to receiving his or her first retirement payment.

     Establishes payment options when a retiree's beneficiary dies before receiving the total of retirement benefits.

     Applies to deaths occurring on or after July 1, 1995.
