SB 6340-S - DIGEST

(DIGEST OF PROPOSED 1ST SUBSTITUTE)

     Requires DNR to maintain continuing forestry on all state forest lands above a single source aquifer on islands.

     Prohibits conversion to a higher use when it would have a potential negative impact on a single source aquifer.

     Provides for a joint legislative committee to study the conversion of state lands.
