SB 6374 - DIGEST

     Declares that the juvenile is entitled to all the rights that by court rule, statute, and the state and federal constitutions are guaranteed to an offender who is similarly charged in adult court.

     Establishes penalty provisions for serious felony sex offenses which will require incarceration of the juvenile offender.

     Creates a juvenile sex offender disposition review board and directs the board to give highest priority consideration to public safety in determining whether it is appropriate to release the offender.

     Authorizes the board to establish appropriate conditions of release.
