     Directs the commission to evaluate the benefits and drawbacks of eliminating the distinction between food fish and game fish and make recommendations to retain or revise the statutes accordingly.

     Requires an analysis to determine the suitability of merging the wildlife fund with the general fund.

     Requires proposed legislation for the 1998 session.

     Requires interim improvements to the current license system.
