(DIGEST AS ENACTED)

     Establishes procedures and conditions for the release of  any records or identifying information from a court file in which a certified statement has been filed by the adult adoptee indicating their preferences with regard to having identifying information released from their adoption records or being contacted by a confidential intermediary.

     Directs the courts to consider the certified statement when deciding whether to open sealed records.

     Provides for the appointment of a confidential intermediary to assist in searching for an adult adoptee.
